From La Bolduc to the Cowboys Fringants: The Accordion in Quebec Music.

It traces the instrument’s rise on radio and television, and showcases artists who played on songs that have become part of our musical heritage.

This exhibition will allow you to discover how the accordion appeared, in the last century, alongside singers from Quebec, to carve out a place of choice on radio and television in the 1950s and early 1960s. Visitors will be able to see several unique pieces such as Marie-Annick Lépine’s first instrument (Cowboys Fringants) or Yves Lambert’s accordion (La Bottine Souriante).

A traveling exhibition produced by the Accordion Museum. It was made possible thanks to Canadian Heritage, through the Traveling Exhibitions Fund program, Mathieu Rivest, Member of Parliament for Côte-du-Sud via the Volunteer Support Program, the MRC de Montmagny via the cultural development agreement. The exhibition concept was created by Groupes GID.
