An exhibition of Québec pop culture that features the most popular topics according to a survey of 1,000 Québec citizens in partnership with Léger in 2018. The exhibition features themes that were the most popular in the survey, and those that best reflect the uniqueness of Quebecers: language, gastronomy, hockey, First Nations, tales and legends, ingenuity, winter, and music. Each zone is introduced using a traditional Québec saying or expression related to the theme presented.
The exhibition is a sociocultural portrait of the people of Québec presented in a playful and interactive way. This exhibition will make Quebecers proud and allow visitors from around the world to learn more about who we are.
In the exhibition Hang on Tight! the children have a course of their own! In each of the stations, an area allows children to explore the exhibition on a second level… which will also appeal to adults! You will easily recognize them by their white and black color!
It also features the museum’s rich ethnological collection.
The exhibition won the Prize of excellence by the Quebec Museum Society in 2020 as well as that of the Association of Canadian Museums in 2021.

It’s incredibly interactive and allows you to make your own connections with these important elements of the province! – Lindsay Davies
The Musee POP in downtown Trois-Rivières dives into the heart of Quebec’s popular culture, showcasing everything from language and music to food and folklore. Some of the albums I saw on the walls there were ones I remember our French teacher playing for us in elementary school. – Kathryn Dickson
