Over the years, a multitude of objects used in daily life by Quebecers of yesteryear have all but disappeared. Fortunately, ethnologist Robert-Lionel Séguin travelled the province’s towns and villages to acquire these “treasures”, witnesses to Quebec’s material culture. All his life, he collected objects that are now preserved in the Musée POP, so that their history can be passed on to future generations. Some of them are real curiosities! In this exhibition, we invite you to discover them and, for some, to guess what they were used for.
