Un pays qui nourrit.

Located in the corridor leading to the Old Prison’s courtyard, this exhibition allows you to understand the importance of the traditional Quebec agricultural model established in the 19th century. It lasted until the mid-20th century, such as promoted by the Catholic clergy and the provincial government in order to colonize the Quebec territory and ensure a its presence. Highlighting, in particular, the heritage buildings of the Robert-Lionel-Séguin collection, the exhibition presents an overview of French-Canadian agricultural reality over an entire century — from agriculture to food practices.
